New Release: Grandma's LAMP 1.0.1

I have a new release of Grandma's LAMP available. Version 1.0.1 uses a vmdk disk that's split into 2GB chunks, and the packages are upgraded.

I'm looking for someone who can help out by hosting direct downloads for Grandma's LAMP? Please let me know if you can help. I'll work on getting a torrent download started also. Thanks.

How do I change the resolution of the VM? I have G's LAMP on Vista. Thanks, I love this VM!

I'm running Grandma's LAMP 1.0 using VMware Player 2.0-Build: 45731 on host Windows Vista, and I have no problems.

Why're the forums locked? I just took the time to register before realizing no posts are possible ...

Anyway, I'm looking for help figuring out why site's with 50+ tables are slow in Grandma's LAMP. I have a number of Drupal (http://drupal.org) installs, and ones with no add-ons (~50 tables) are speedy enough, but ones with lots of add-ons (~100 tables) are really sluggish. Plus phpMyAdmin is slow.

I've upped my memory allocation to 796 MB. This is running on MS Vista, 2GHz CPU, 1GB RAM.

I can share some bandwidth for seeding torrents, or I can park a zip up on my webserver, at least until I go over my quota. ;-)

Does blogger let you upload media files of any type? You could chunk the vmware image into rar pieces and then link them here. Let Google pay for the bandwidth!

Hey, you can upload your Grandma's LAMP 1.0.1 to http://flyupload.com (free with 2 gig maximum) and then post the URL for us. FlyUpload will host it free for 60 days, and by then enough of us will have it and be able to torrent host it for you.

Whatta ya say? :)
