Not sure if you did this, but you need to have a torrent client, for example, in windows, you could use utorrent.
At the time of this post, there are more than eight people seeding this torrent for download. Unfortunately, I cannot offer any direct download at the moment.

This is a great help thank you very much for the time and effort :D

This is exactly what I wanted/needed as I continue to wean myself off XP.

It would be very helpful if you could outline the way you partitioned the system and your reasoning.

And I noticed \\MEPIS1\vmware is shared by default.

To other potential users - this is a fully working (kubuntu based system) with networking - sound - internet the works!

You just need the vmplayer and this bt file and off you go.

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it.

There isn't any much reasoning behind the partition layout. I just went with the defaults in the MEPIS installation. My goal initially was to provide users with the "typical" MEPIS experience so that they can easily evaluate the distro using my VM.

Yes, weaning yourself off of XP is a good thing. My day job requires me to use XP and Vista, but I stick with Linux for my personal stuff. I'm thinking that by the time Vista is out, I'll be off of the Microsoft drug completely.

Is there a faster way to download this? Bittorrent files are SSSLOW!!!!!

Yeah man, these BitTorrent files never even start to load, let alone download. BitTorrent Tracker times out.

I've been trying to download simplyMEPIS and PCLinuxOS (BigDaddy and MiniMe) since yesterday, so far I got nothing.

You have a great site, great site idea, and I greatly appreciate the work you put into it, but if people can't download the files then what good does it do?

Man, I'll make an FTP account for you on my host to upload these to just so I can download them. lol
